Maria Rene Espada (22) not only enchants with her smile, but also with her kindness. She has become one of the most beloved dancers nationwide.
This young woman with curly hair and statuesque figure integrates the group of the Pretty Little Girls of the Maroyu group.
His love for dance began at school and since then it hasn’t stopped. This passion that she feels for dance makes her endure dancing in low temperatures, leaving her family for weeks and even being away from the love of her life.
But he says that every effort has its reward. She -with her work- has managed to open her own restaurant, a goal she always wanted to achieve. Today, Nene, as they affectionately call her, enjoys the fame of her followers and doing what she likes.
_Where does the taste for dancing come from?
From a very young age I liked dance, I started dancing at school and then I entered a dance school. From there I began my career as a dancer.
_How long ago did you come to Maroyu and who invited you?
I have been in Maroyu for more than a year, and they contacted me through a group coordinator.
_What is the positive and negative of being a dancer in this musical group?
The positive thing is that I like what I do, I know so many places and people thanks to dancing. In addition, the affection of the public is very nice, and they pay me to do what I like, which is to dance.
The negative is that you stop seeing your family often, you stop your social life, it is also a bit complicated with so many trips, fatigue and sleeplessness. It is also difficult to have a good diet and you have to endure the inclement weather. But every effort has its reward and I’m happy where I am.
_How can you stand dancing at such low temperatures?
Now we try to wrap up a little more, either with jackets and gloves, but even so there are times when we get sick.
_Do you think the group would be the same without its Pretty Little Girls?
I think we are a good complement, even so I believe that the group can renew itself again.
_You are one of the most beloved dancers, how do you take the affection of the public?
I feel very grateful to the people who give me their love and support. Thanks to the public, artists are made.
_How long do you see yourself dancing with the Maroyu?
Some more time, until fate wants it.
_ Would you like to study a career?
Of course, I intend to resume my studies soon. I am between the area of health and the field.
_Is it true that the Pretty Little Girls are paid well?
Yes, what we earn depends on the number of events we have.
_You already have your own business, a restaurant…
Yes, it’s called “La Pejisada” it was one of the projects that we had in mind together with my partner, and thank God and a little effort it was possible to achieve.
_What other dreams would you like to fulfill?
I have some projects in mind. When they do happen, they will be the first to know.
_What does María René do when she is not dancing?
I spend time with my family, I rehearse, I train, I dedicate myself to my home, to be with my pets and if there is more time, I go for a walk to the countryside, towns or tourist places.
_ How long have you been in a relationship?
We have been with my partner for 62 months, more than five years.
_How do you deal with travel and fans?
We have mutual support, trust and maintain communication.
_How do you see yourself 10 years from now?
At 32 years old, and I don’t know what life has in store for me, I just know that I will strive to be someone better.
_How do you maintain that figure?
For now I keep only with the dance.
