The President of the Congress of the Republic, Maria del Carmen Alva (Popular Action), expressed his “concern” about the recent intervention of personnel from the prosecution and the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) to the transmission plant owned by Radio Tigre SAC (Radio PBO) in the Morro Solar, in Chorrillos.

On the morning of this Wednesday, Phillip Butters accused that representatives of the Public Ministry and the MTC carried out a search and lockout of the transmission plant without having previously sent any notification.
“Where can that come from? Because not having left any notification we do not know what to expect. The Minister of Transport and Communications and the Prosecutor’s Office will also have to give us a reason for this. Why, where does this come from?”, questioned the communicator.
However, Miguel Ángel Ontiveros, general director of supervision and sanctions of the MTC, clarified that the diligence was due to the fact that Radio Tigre SAC has been operating without authorization since 2019. He added that it acted with the authorization of the Judicial Power.
“You have been notified that you do not have authorization to operate because it is already cancelled. Since the ministry respects all due process, then it has just been formally canceled because they can appeal any resolution, but it has already been formally canceled on September 11, 2019″, detailed Ontiveros.
“Furthermore, they were notified twice in December of last year and January of this year, telling them that they are operating without authorization from the MTC and that is why the precautionary measure has been carried out on this illegal station.”, he added.
