The outgoing president of Congress, Maria del Carmen Alvamade a recount of his management in charge of the Board of Directors a few days before the election of a new list for the period 2022-2023. Alva did not hesitate to justify the mistakes made during his management by saying that “it was learning”and asserted that such mishaps should not be evidenced in this new period.
Likewise, the acciopopulista responded to the critics who considered the actions of her management as “lukewarm” for this first year of Parliament.
“I don’t think it was lukewarm. We must bear in mind that, effectively, we are a new Congressand that it had to be installed after a covid Congress, a closed Congress”, the parliamentarian apologized.
Likewise, it considered that these actions would not have taken place if there had been an “experience” in the incoming legislators.
“The theme here is experience. Indeed, it has been a big mistake on the subject of the non-reelection of congressmen. If there is something important here, it is parliamentary practice and experience. That’s what adds up.” the congresswoman pointed out in an attempt to justify her preference for the approval of bills that had already been rejected by the population in 2018.
