He met with Oscar Noguera, alias El Diente, who later posted videos calling for protests against the results of June 28
Opposition leader María Corina Machado reportedly held a meeting with the top brass of Tren del Llano, a criminal gang whose main headquarters is in the municipality of José Tadeo Monagas (Altagracia de Orituco), Guárico, according to police sources.
The meeting supposedly took place on June 19, when Machado was on a tour promoting the candidacy of Edmundo González Urrutia. That day Machado visited the town of Altagracia de Orituco and returned by the rural roads of the municipality passing through the hamlets of Lezama, Cujilote and La Esperanza, bordering Chaguaramas (Guárico).
Witnesses report that in La Esperanza Machado met with the top brass of Tren del Llano, headed by Oscar de Jesús Noguera Hernández (El Diente), who later released videos calling for protests against the results of the presidential elections that gave victory to President Nicolás Maduro.
This meeting between Machado and Tren del Llano was preceded by an event led by the opposition leader Delsa Solórzano in Altagracia de Orituco, in the Peña de Mota neighborhood, where Tren del Llano is present. The aforementioned gang fomented acts of violence in San Francisco de Macaira, a parish in the Monagas municipality, where they tried to steal 15 Plan República rifles, an action that was repelled by the military, according to a video released by Diente.
