In a message to the National Armed Forces (FAN), María Corina Machado maintained that “everyone knows that the people of Venezuela largely defeated Maduro” and pointed out that this “defeat” was done “in very difficult conditions facing persecution and arbitrariness.” »
The leader of Vente Venezuela, Maria Corina Machadoaddressed the members of Fuera Armada Nacional (FAN) this Sunday, October 13, through an audio message to ask them to respect popular sovereignty and urge them not to endorse “a regime that is on the way out.”
«You decided to be a soldier to serve your country. Nicolás Maduro is already past and you know it. “What sense does it make to give up your career, your reputation for supporting a Government that no longer has a future?” he began his message.
Likewise, he assured that, if they come to power, they will not go against the military bodies. «We know that every day they try to scare you by saying that, when the Democrats come to power, we will go against the FAN and against you, that you have no future with us. This is false. “Venezuela needs all its children and we count on you to defend it, rebuild it and make it great, prosperous and safe,” he continued.

He emphasized his call to respect popular sovereignty, stating that this is “the obedience of a soldier’s life.” «You know the truth about what happened on July 28 because you saw it. “You saw a united, peaceful and hopeful people in the streets,” he said.
«Venezuela needs you and you must serve it. Be the protagonist of the story that the new republic is creating. “Do not endorse a regime that is on the way out,” he said, referring to the Government of Nicolás Maduro.
“Maduro lost the elections”
In the same message, Machado asserted that “everyone knows that the people of Venezuela largely defeated Maduro” and noted that this “defeat” was done “in very difficult conditions facing persecution and arbitrariness.”
“After almost three months, neither the National Electoral Council (CNE), nor the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) nor Maduro have been able to show a single piece of evidence that they won the election because they lost it,” he declared.
Likewise, he told the FAN that the “return to democracy” implies not only “the validity of justice and freedom and the reunification of the family”, but also “the re-institutionalization and professionalization of our Armed Forces and police.”
