María Corina Machado responds to Maduro: You want to control companies to continue stealing

María Corina Machado has conditioned her participation in the primaries organized by the Unitarian Platform. The national coordinator and founder of the Vente Venezuela party, María Corina Machado, responded to the disqualifications issued by the ruler Nicolás Maduro on the afternoon of this Tuesday, September 27, and accused him of wanting to maintain state control over companies “to continue stealing.”

In a message on her Twitter account, the opposition leader defended her idea of ​​widespread privatization, as she assured that they will be “generating employment.” She also said that another of her intentions is “order and justice.”

Earlier, in an interview with the Counterpoint portal, the opposition expressed: “We have to go to a massive, accelerated and absolutely transparent process of privatizations. Everything must be privatized! Including the oil industry that today is junk. Scrap!”.

In addition to the privatizations, the leader also proposes to “remake from the base” the Judiciary, return to the legislative bicameral system; the subordination of military power to civil power; eliminate the figure of re-election to public office; and the reduction of the State to the role of “promoter, stimulator”.

Her statements were rejected by the Venezuelan ruler, who described her as a “threat to social stability” and accused her of being part of an “oligarchy” to gain power. “You will see the face of the people, María Corina, because the people will prevent surnames and the oligarchy from returning to power (…) they will see the surnames of the Machados, they will see them on the street and in battle,” he threatened.

María Corina Machado, who aspires as a presidential candidate, has conditioned their participation in the primaries organized by the Unitarian Platform, to choose a candidate to represent the opposition in 2024, to the non-technical assistance of the National Electoral Council (CNE); the use of a manual vote and the participation of all Venezuelans who can vote, inside and outside the country.
