The presidential candidate María Corina Machado (Vente Venezuela) regretted the situation that pensioners are going through. “They cannot increase the $5 pension, but they lose 21 billion dollars and they blame the sanctions and the blockade. That’s cynicism”
The pre-candidate of Vente Venezuela for the primaries, María Corina Machado, reacted this Tuesday, May 2, to the bonus increase made by the Executive in the framework of Labor Day, and warned that it is a “hunger decree” for Venezuelans .
“Maduro decreed hunger. They want poor Venezuelans, to control society and take away their dignity. The food basket is 12 minimum wages. This is hunger. He was thinking of the pensioners, Venezuelans who have dedicated their lives to serving Venezuela and today are in misery,” the leader said in an interview for Radio Yaracuy 1,090 AM.
Machado maintained that the increases in bonuses decreed by Maduro generated outrage among the workers. “What is being awakened is a feeling of deep indignation from an entire country that is intentionally subjected to misery. That is the result of socialism (…) Chavismo says it loves the poor, but it loves them very poor”.
He also regretted the situation that pensioners are going through. “They cannot increase the $5 pension, but they lose 21 billion dollars and they blame the sanctions and the blockade. That is cynicism.”

On the other hand, Machado reiterated the importance of the primary elections for the future of the country, although without the interference of the National Electoral Council (CNE).
“These primaries are going to change the history of Venezuela. We are all going to unite, those who are inside and outside the country. We are going to unite in that citizen cry to put socialism aside, “said the national coordinator of Vente.
In addition, he directly addressed the sector of the population that does not trust the electoral processes, especially the primaries. He argued that this may be the “last chance” to do things differently.
«There are people who have lost everything and feel betrayed. I was also betrayed by the opposition that was more of the same. I feel that they gave up my head, but we have an opportunity to do things differently, “acknowledged the political leader.
