The Venezuelan opposition leader met this Thursday with the president of the United States.
MIAMI, United States. – Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado affirmed this Thursday, after a meeting of more than two hours behind closed doors at the White House with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, that the Republican leader is on her side in the opposition cause.
“Know that we are counting on President Trump for the freedom of Venezuela,” said Machado when addressing Venezuelans gathered outside the presidential headquarters.
However, before the meeting, from the White House itself, spokesperson Karoline Leavitt held that the president’s assessment of the internal support that Machado would have in Venezuela “has not changed,” an assessment that he considered “realistic.”
