The opposition leader María Corina Machado sent a message to the country on the night of this Wednesday, January 8, in which she asked Venezuelans for “serenity and firmness” in the face of the demonstration she called for this January 9; and requested – once again – support for Edmundo González Urrutia, ahead of the inauguration on Friday, January 10.
«We all know that this is over. Venezuela will no longer feel sorry for people from other countries, it will give pride to Venezuelans. Now it’s time to complete the task, and each one has their part like an orchestra, tomorrow we will meet, in the towns and cities of all of Venezuela, at 10 in the morning and in hundreds of cities around the world,” Machado said in a video posted on your account on X.
Machado also asked “we leave behind the divisions, the sadness, the fears, the separation”; and invited public workers to join his movement: «We are a country that has three colors, and that wants its three colors united, that is why those of you who tomorrow are forced to go out with a red flannel, I tell you to go out, and Come with us, let’s celebrate together.

Machado and the concentration in Caracas
María Corina Machado, leader of the opposition, called for a day of protests for this Thursday, January 9, prior to the inauguration scheduled for Friday the 10th. The mobilization, which is called “Gloria bravo pueblo”, will take place in different cities in the country and, in addition, it will be replicated in more than 100 cities in Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania with the aim of defending the electoral results of July 28.
In Venezuela, the activities are scheduled for 10:00 am. In Caracas, there will be four concentration points: the Episcopal Conference in the La Vega parish, the Santa Fe distributor, the Líder Shopping Center and Élice Street in Chacao.
Machado asked Venezuelans to attend as a family, mothers, children, uncles and grandmothers with yellow, blue and red t-shirts, representing the country’s flag.
