Santo Domingo.- The United States Secretary, Marco Rubio, is already in the country to discuss key issues with President Luis Abinader, highlighting the crisis that Haiti is going through and the recent decision of the US government to cease help to the multinational force.

Marco Rubio arrived in an official plane of the US government, which landed at the Américas International Airport (Aila), after eight o’clock on Wednesday.
Although Rubio is still on the plane, it is expected to be received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez, along with a delegation of Dominican government officials and representatives of the United States Embassy in the country.
The body specialized in airport security and civil aviation (CESAC) and the National Police have reinforced the security controls in the terminal.
