Marciano Cantero, leader of the “Green Dwarfs” passed away

A few days ago the musician was urgently admitted to the Cuyo de Mendoza Clinic and his delicate state of health was known. Relatives of Cantero asked for respect for the singer’s difficult situation and pointed out that kidney disease was the reason for his hospitalization.

“With deep pain I want to say goodbye to Marciano Cantero, an artist from Mendoza who transcended borders,” said Rodolfo Suárez, governor of Mendoza.

Los “Enanitos Verdes” was a rock band that had its greatest moment of glory in the mid-1980s and early 1990s. Great songs marked the group’s trajectory, including “The stranger with long hair”, “Yo te I saw on a train”, “Bolivian Lament” among others.

The group performed several times in Paraguay and were also very popular in Mexico and Spain.
