Marches for 8-M left $10,550 in damage in Quito

The Municipality of Quito reported that after the demonstrations on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 for Women’s Day there were damages in the Historic Center of the city, especially in the axis of Guayaquil street and in the surroundings of the Plaza de Santo Domingo.

“Residents of the San Marcos and Santo Domingo sectors expressed their concern about the state of several places, such as the monument to Simón Bolívar, in Alameda Park; Guayaquil street from San Blas to Plaza Santo Domingo; the Theater square; the monument to Federico González Suárez and Plaza Chica; the Plaza and Church of Santo Domingo and the monument to Antonio José de Sucre”, the Municipality said in a statement.
