The Bolivian striker Marcelo Martins started in his team’s victory, Cerro Porteño, against Tacuary 1-0, this Wednesday night. The match was part of the second date of the Clausura tournament of the first division of Paraguayan soccer and was played at the Defensores del Chaco stadium.
The Santa Cruz, 35 years old, did not score goals and played until the 68th minute, time in which he was replaced by defender Carlos Rolón.
The author of the only goal of the commitment was Damian Bobadilla (90′) when added time was already beginning to be played and when the Ciclón had ten players on the field, because in the 64th minute Robert Piris da Motta had been sent off.
Cerro Porteño marks a good start in the Paraguayan championship, since he came from winning on the first date on October 12 by 2-1, game in which Marcelo Martins scored a goal.
For the third date, the Cyclone will receive Sol de América, on Sunday July 24, starting at 18:45 (HB).
