Monterrey, NL. The Secretary of Foreign Relations, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, who has been mentioned as one of the Morena’s possible pre-candidates for the presidency in 2024participated in the Meeting for the Future of Nuevo Leónwhere he met mainly with young people, this Sunday, December 11, in the Juárez market, in downtown Monterrey.
He announced that in 2023 he will tour the state to listen to proposals and establish contact with citizens.
He reiterated, as he mentioned this Saturday, December 10, –after a meeting with the industrialists of Nuevo León–, that to participate as a candidate for Morena it is necessary to be consistent, therefore, the surveys must be supervised, the candidates for the candidacy for the presidency must separate from their posts and there must be a debate between them.
“We are proposing in the letter that we sent (to Mario Delgado) that the survey has to be discussed, there are electoral times, about when the pre-campaign and the campaign are going to be done, it would have to be in December 2023,” said Ebrard Casaubon.
He reiterated that Nuevo León is a very important state because it contributes a lot to the federation and should be a significant part (at the political level), “the lack of water has not stopped them, we have a lot to learn, it is a laborious state that continues to grow.”
This Sunday he added that Nuevo León is one of the most successful federal entities with the lowest poverty rates.
The debates between candidates, he affirmed, have to be held in the first half of next year, with the resignation of positions before the polls to guarantee “that there is an even floor and shield the party.”
For his part, Mario Delgado, president of Morena, commented on his Twitter account: “We accompanied Marcelo Ebrard to the meeting with citizens to discuss the future of our country in the state of Nuevo León. He gave me some proposals to strengthen unity and boost the growth of our movement towards 2024 ”.
