“I will then attend to sign the condolences to express the sincere condolences of the people of Mexico to the British people,” said the Secretary of Foreign Affairs through a video shared on Twitter.

Ebrard indicated that later he will be at a reception where the new King Carlos III will also be present.

This Monday the state funeral will be held at 11 in the morning, a day that was declared a public holiday throughout the United Kingdom.

Heads of state from different countries are expected to appear together with members of the royal family in the last goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II, whose funeral will take place in Westminster Abbey.

The queen’s body will be taken to St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, where the remains of Prince Philip, who was her husband and died in April 2021, are also located.
