Through a statement, the Mapuche Lafkenche Resistance (RML) claimed responsibility for the burning of the Küref hotel and the armed attack against the Carabineros de Quidico checkpoint in the Tirúa commune, Biobío region, recorded last Friday.
In the letter, the group assures that the actions of Friday respond to the “covert militarization of the government of Gabriel Boric”, adding that “there will be no aggression without a response”, warning the Government.

When referring to the burning of the Küref hotel, they indicate that it means the “definitive expulsion of Fernando Fuentealba of the territory”, whom they describe as “anti Mapuche”, in addition to “vilifying the Mapuche resistance” for years.
The hotel is owned by the president of the Foundation for Victims of Terrorism in the South Macrozone, Fernando Fuentealba, which was completely burned to the ground.
