Manzur will provide his first report in the Chamber of Deputies.

The chief of staff, Juan Manzur, will provide his first report this Wednesday in the Chamber of Deputies, where he will present the progress of the National Government, with a focus on the “advances that have been taking place” in the management of the Front of All (FdT), and will include a “optimistic outlook on the future of Argentina”.

Manzur will attend the lower house, where he will speak at the briefing that will take place from 11 and will provide details of the management of the national government, after which he will answer questions from legislators of the different political forces on economic and political issues.

The chief of staff told Télam that the government management report “will contain all the advances that have been taking place, and from this also an optimistic view of the future of Argentina,”

Before the special session at 10.30 there will be a parliamentary work meeting where aspects of the session will be coordinated between the president of the legislative body, Cecilia Moreau, and the ruling and opposition blocs.

In addition, an hour before, the deputies will participate in the precinct of mandatory Yolanda Law training sessions, so that they have comprehensive training in the environment, with a perspective of sustainable development and an emphasis on climate change.

Report, questions and answers

The Cabinet Office today sent the “longest” report in the history of that portfolio which has an extension of nearly 2,200 pages where they answer inquiries sent by legislators in mid-August since in principle he was going to attend on the 31st of that month.

In a statement he reported that the document sent to the lower house contains answers to all 3,926 questions carried out by the deputies and deputies, and mainly addresses issues related to the areas of economy, education and health.

In this way, the Headquarters of the Cabinet of Ministers delivered to the Chamber of Deputies, as established by the Constitution, the 133rd report, the “largest” in history since its creation in 1994.

The text exceeds the previous record by more than 1,300 questionsreached when the former Chief of Staff and current Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero -also in this administration of the Frente de Todos (FdT)- answered 2,596 queries in June 2021.

According to the analysis carried out by the Undersecretariat for Parliamentary Affairs, the Ministry of Economy was the body that received the most questions with 1,151 (this figure includes questions sent to the former Ministries of Productive Development and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries), followed by the Ministry of Education with 313, Health with 254 and Security and Chancellery with 246 and 238 respectively.

As for the legislative blocks, the bench that sent the largest number of queries was the PRO with 2,128, followed by the Unión Cívica Radical with 702 and the Evolución Radical with 380.

Among the responses, the main policies aimed at the recovery of registered employment in the private sector, the increase of more than 40% of the Sustainability Guarantee Fund and the 77% increase in investments directly to the provinces, mostly destined for road and energy infrastructure projects.

In turn, in relation to educational policiesthe report develops actions aimed at strengthening the entry, permanence and graduation of students within the framework of the Institutional Improvement Plan (PMI).

In this sense, it stands out internet connectivity plan for schools that expects to cover 90% of the students of Argentina by the end of this year.

It is also recorded the delivery of devices for teachers at the primary level and male and female students at the secondary level through the Connect Equality program and the continuity of the Fines Program; investment in school infrastructure and permanent teacher training.

Another section highlights the success of tourism promotion programs such as Pre-Tripwhich in its last edition had an impact on the tourist chain of $150 billion.

The document details that, thanks to this policy, approximately 32.3 million Argentines and Argentines traveled through the countrymobilizing resources in the industry for more than $635 billion.

Manzur, speaking to Télam at the Casa Rosada, also pointed out on Monday that “today the conditions are in place to generate what we have always sought, to strengthen federalism and this vision of generating opportunities for all. We are going to talk about the great works of infrastructure that will close gaps, what is being done in each of the areas, from Housing to Culture to inclusion”.

And he added: “Obviously, an exclusive issue that has been the reason for the vast majority of the questions (from the deputies), about the economy. We are going to have an exchange that I think will be very fruitful on this road to turning 40 of democracy”.

Regarding the situation of the economy, he affirmed that “every effort is being made to stabilize the macroeconomy in a very complex context, but we see with great enthusiasm what is happening today based on the potential that Argentina has.”
