The chief of staff, Juan Manzur, received a delegation of seven senators from the United States at the Government House, who were accompanied by the ambassador of that country in Argentina, Marc Stanley, in a meeting marked by the objective of generating, from the business possibilities between the two countries, more production, investment and work for Argentina.

Manzur, who was accompanied by the Argentine ambassador in Washington, Jorge Argüello, described the meeting as “very productive” and stressed “the potential that Argentina has in terms of food and energy productionwhich are the goods that the world needs most right now”.

The coordinating minister evaluated that “increasing the commercial relationship with the United States will represent greater opportunities for production, investment” and “what this government always seeks, more work for the Argentine people.”

“We have explored all the investment possibilities thinking about the near future”completed Manzur.

Argüello, for his part, spoke of “an absolutely positive exchange” and also highlighted “the potential that both countries have in a context of crisis, both food and energy, that the world is going through.”

Between February and last May, Manzur and Argüello held meetings with representatives of business chambers from the provinces of Tucumán, Santiago del Estero and Entre Ríos to carry out a joint analysis of the potential and diversity of products exported to the United States, as well as to identify new sectors. productive activities that allow the strengthening and development of regional economies.

In addition, the Argentine ambassador to the United States participated last July in the meeting of governors of the Norte Grande provinces, where he reported on the progress made in coordinating a trade mission to the North American country to outline a common work agenda promoting bilateral exchange. .

The United States is the third commercial destination for Argentine exports. Last June, according to official figures, domestic sales of 734 million dollars were recorded.
