Velasco attended to be credentialed as a member of the 66th Senate Legislature, since he was reelected to the position, and in an interview in that context he assured that “we do not lack” votes to reach the qualified majority, since he assumed that some opponents are already on the side of that block.
On Friday, the National Electoral Institute (INE) assigned plurinominal legislators to integrate the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, confirming that in the first, Morena and allies will have 364 seats, and in the second, 83 senators, whereas 86 are required to reform the Constitution, so they would only be missing three votes.
These, according to what Velasco expressed, are already secured:
“When the parties are integrated, we will see that we are making progress, and when it comes to voting, you will be duly informed,” he told reporters.
I registered as a Senator of the Republic of the LXVI Legislature, a responsibility that we will fulfill by building dialogue with all political forces to advance the project of the President of Mexico. @Claudiashein and promote the Green Agenda that we offered to citizens. pic.twitter.com/ti8shg82x4
