La Romana.- Jesús Manuel Aquino, alias “La Perra”, an alleged criminal with an extensive criminal record, was killed this Friday morning in an alleged confrontation with members of the Eastern Regional Investigation Subdirectorate (Dicrim) in the municipality of Güaymate.
According to the National Police, upon noticing the police presence, Aquino, 35, pulled out a revolver and opened fire at the officers, who repelled the attack.
Aquino was seriously injured and died while being transferred to the public hospital in the municipality of Villa Hermosa.
Jesús Manuel Aquino was wanted by the authorities for multiple crimes and had several outstanding arrest warrants. He had his residence in El Seibo.
