Judge Yerixa Cabral de la Cruz, from the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of Santiagoimposed three months of preventive detention as a measure of coercion against three men accused of shooting dead the artistic producer DJ Kanela.
The measure weighs against Raymund Samuel Díaz, known as Ray; Pitbull or Raymundo, Alison Moreno Rodríguez (Barajista) and Jeifry Rafael Peña Pérez.
According to a press release, those named will be held at the Rafey Correction and Rehabilitation Center, while Peña Pérez will have to serve the provisional sentence at the CCR El Pinito, La Vega.
Against Díaz, Moreno and Peña there are charges for the crimes of homicide, association of criminals and illegal possession of a firearm.
Those indicated are being accused of finalizing Ángel Rafael Caba Domínguez, 47, who was returning from participating in a party, when upon arriving near his residence, located in the Ensanche Bolívar sector, he was assassinated.
Prosecutors Quirsa Abreu and Martha González presented the evidence that the Public ministry has compiled and that support the accusation against the defendants.
The Prosecutor’s Office has managed to establish that the accused conspired to intercept and kill the victim.
The justice body points out that those involved later hid part of the evidence of the fact, to evade their criminal responsibility.
He Public ministry gives the process the legal qualification established in articles 265, 266, 295 and 304 of the Dominican Penal Code, as well as the violation of articles 66 and 67 of Law 631-16 for the Control and Regulation of Weapons, Ammunition and Materials Related.
Within the set of evidence, the investigating prosecutors describe the moments prior to the shooting and establish, based on the videos from surveillance cameras, the places where the defendants were before arriving at the crime scene.
