“First, I want to tell the Colorado fans how happy I am to be here right now. Back to the club that played an important part in my training as a football coach. I believe that everything in life has its time. If I’m here, it’s because I have knowledge and background for Internacional, and I also think Internacional is the right club to help me. When that exists, things tend to go well”, declared Mano Menezes.
The coach, who signed a contract until the end of 2022, arrives to replace the Uruguayan Alexander Medina, who was fired last Friday (15) after Internacional’s 1-1 draw with Guaireña (Paraguay) in the Copa Sudamericana.
In addition to Mano, Colorado closed with other professionals for this new moment of its football department, technical director Paulo Autuori and executive director William Thomas.

“Today, we consolidate the professional formatting of those who will lead Inter’s Football Department. We present Paulo Autuori as technical director, responsible for the entire department along with William, who also assumes this transversality. And now, the person in charge of our team, guidance and game model, is Mano Menezes, who today completes this trio. Mano is a coach that everyone knows. Its history, its trajectory, began in Rio Grande do Sul and traveled through Brazil and the world”, declared Internacional’s president, Alessandro Barcellos, during the press conference.
