The properties of the first lot of Apartamentos Nuevas Victorias, which will be located on the land of the old Managua Vehicle Depot, located in front of the old Denis Martínez, in Managua, have since continued under construction and the only ones that are finished are the two model apartments.

In October of this year, the Managua commune even shared through social networks a series of aerial photographs showing part of the progress in the first stage of Nuevas Victorias apartments, which they called Roberto Clemente.
In the images it was found that at least 27 of the apartments in the first lot are seen with the gray work complete, but more than 50 only have part of their walls raised, beams reinforced with iron rods or the land delimited with the spaces in which that will rise.
A project that is not of social interest
The Nueva Victorias apartments project, since its launch last year, has been widely questioned for being sold as part of the social interest projects promoted by the commune, despite the fact that its price exceeds the limits established as maximums for properties of this type. guy. Nicaraguans who survive on the minimum wage do not meet the requirements to aspire to these homes.

In article 7 of Law 677, Special Law for the Promotion of Housing Construction and Access to Social Interest Housing, it is established that a social interest home is one whose final consumer price does not exceed $40,000. for single-family homes nor $50,000 for multi-family homes. But, the price of the Nuevas Victoria apartments doubles that amount.
The Mayor’s Office of Managua at the beginning of this year reported that the requirements to acquire the Nuevas Victorias apartments were, in addition to having a salary of at least 13 thousand córdobas free of any debt, paying a premium of 500 dollars and making monthly payments of 365 dollars. , over a period of 25 years, thus revealing that the prices of these properties are around almost 110 thousand dollars.
