Fernando B., accused of attempted infanticide and femicide for stabbing his ex-partner and throwing his little daughter from a second-floor window of a house, was sent to preventive detention for six months at the Chonchocoro prison.
In this context, on Wednesday afternoon the Prosecutor’s Office reported that it is suspected that two more people would have participated in the act as accomplices: the mother of the aggressor and a taxi driver.
“Today the hearing of precautionary measures has been carried out, where the preventive detention of the main accused in the prison in Chonchocoro has been determined, after the elements that the Public Ministry has presented,” reported the prosecutor Verónica Miranda.

The authority explained that the measure was ordered by the Third Anticorruption judge during the hearing that took place in the hospital where the accused is hospitalized. After throwing his daughter into the void, he hung from the window and was injured.
The authorities await Fernando B.’s medical discharge to transfer him to the Chonchocoro prison.
Meanwhile, police investigations revealed the possible complicity of the mother and a taxi driver. The prosecutor said that on Wednesday afternoon both suspects were taken to the offices of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc).
According to the investigations, Fernando B.’s “taxi driver friend” was at the scene. There the victim asked him for help, but he did not listen to her, on the contrary, he gave the aggressor “a backpack” that presumably contained the sharp weapon that he used to hurt his victims.

Seeing herself cornered by her ex-partner and his friend, the victim called the aggressor’s mother, who, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, minimized the fact, but minutes later he appeared in the young woman’s apartment.
“When the accused throws the girl, the grandmother does not proceed to grab the baby, she lets the girl fall. But when her son falls, she runs to help him, that arouses the suspicions of the Prosecutor’s Office, ”lamented Miranda.
“It really is a miracle that she (the girl) is alive because she has no fractures in her body. Many consider it that way, ”she highlighted.
The two-year-old girl is still in intensive care. This Tuesday, to the surprise of the doctors, she “moved her little hands” and she is expected to gradually recover from the attack she survived, the authority said.
