San Pedro de Macorís.- Police agents from the Investigation Division (Dicrim), in coordination with the Preventive Police of the Quisqueya municipality, San Pedro de Macorís, they arrested a man accused of being allegedly responsible for the death of his former romantic partner in said municipality.
The detainee is Melvin Yin Jean Juan, known as Gago, 35 years old, resident in Quisqueya. The arrest occurred pursuant to arrest warrant No. 00845-2022.
The man is accused of the death of María del Carmen Yanluis, known as Fani, 23 years old, who died from “multiple wounds from a sharp weapon,” as certified by the medical examiner. The victim resided in the same community.
The tragic event occurred on the morning of Wednesday, December 25, 2024, Christmas Day, while the victim was in a local beauty salon.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes.
