He Body of Firefighters of Santiago and the Civil defense They carried out an operation rescue which culminated in the extraction of Luciano Díaz Gómez, 55, who was trapped in a hole more than 80 feet deep in Loma del Chivo, located in the Northern Mountain Range.
The incident, which occurred for reasons still under investigation, activated a deployment of emergency which lasted more than 15 hours, after having fallen accidentally yesterday.
“He rescue It represented a great challenge due to the depth of the hole, but our equipment used advanced techniques and worked with absolute dedication to save this life,” said Lieutenant Colonel Alex Torres, deputy mayor of the firefighters and leader of the operation.
Together with Lieutenant Colonel Juan Bautista, company commander, they coordinated an operation that required specialized equipment and precise execution at each stage of the process.
During the rescuethe firefighters and the members of the Civil defense showed their expertise in handling high-risk situations riskminimizing dangers for both the trapped person and the rescuers.
