Mao, Valverde.- A man was sentenced to four years in prison for the rape of a minor in the Esperanza municipality, Valverde province in an event that occurred in 2020.
The Collegiate Court of Valverde, presided over by Judge Joel Reyes, imposed the sentence on Ramón Eligio Rodríguez (Buyin), 38 years old, and ordered his execution at the Mao Correction and Rehabilitation Center.
The Public Ministry, represented in the substantive trial by Mercedes Ortega, established that the defendant took advantage of the fact that the victim’s parents were sleeping to sexually assault the five-year-old infant, in an incident that occurred in the Esperanza municipality on the night of March 27. July 2020.
It indicated that Rodríguez called the minor to go to the bathroom of the house, in an external area, where he touched her private parts, in violation of articles 330 and 333 of the Penal Code, and article 396, letter C, of the Code for the Protection and Fundamental Rights of Children and Adolescents.
