SAN CRISTÓBAL. – The Collegiate Court of San Cristóbal sentenced to 30 years in prison still man who, in an assault, murdered another man, in front of his wife, in an event that occurred in June 2023, in the José Francisco Peña Gómez sector, in Villa Fundación.
This is Erasmier Reynaldo Dini Beltré, for the murder of Arcadio Rafael Calderón Martínez.
The events occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on June 27, 2023, when the now deceased, along with his wife Clara Garcés, were closing a grocery store they owned, located at the aforementioned location, and were surprised by Dini Beltré, who, with a firearm in hand, told them that it was a robbery.
Prosecutors Daryl Montes de Oca and Josefina De Los Santos Asencio irrefutably demonstrated to the court the guilt of Dini Beltré in the murder of Calderón Martínez, for which he incurred in the violation of articles 379, 384, 295 and 304 of the Dominican Penal Code.
In his criminal action, while he was aiming at the victims, he asked them for money and took their cell phones. Given Calderón Martínez’s defenseless position, the defendant proceeded to hit him several times in the head. To defend himself from this aggression, he grabbed the murderer’s hands. Without remorse, he shot him multiple times, causing wounds to the abdomen, anterior and posterior thorax, and left arm, which caused his death, as recorded in the body removal certificate marked with no. 072734 and the autopsy certificate no. SD-A-0677-2023, issued by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif).
By court decision, the defendant must serve his sentence at the Najayo Men’s Correction and Rehabilitation Center.
