Man sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexually assaulting a girl

The Public ministry obtained a 20-year prison sentence against a man who sexually abused an eight-year-old girl in this province.

Judges Lucrecia Rodríguez, Julissa Candelario and Juana Patricia Silverio, of the first Collegiate Court of La Vega, imposed the sentence on Radhamés Acosta Bruno, who must serve it at the El Pinito Correction and Rehabilitation Center in this town.

The court also sentenced the minor’s mother to five years in prison, for complicity, whose name is omitted to protect the victim’s privacy.

In the accusatory file, the La Vega Prosecutor’s Office He points out that on several occasions the man touched the girl inappropriately and that she reported it to her mother, who paid no attention to her.
