A man accused of sexually violating his stepdaughter 5-year-old in Santo Domingo Norte was condemned to 20 years in prison for the Second Collegiate Court of Santo Domingo Este.
The conviction was imposed on the accused, whose name is omitted to protect the identity of the little girlreported in a press release on Public Ministry.
He adds that the record instrumented by the fiscal investigator María Dominga Sánchez, establishes that on January 20, 2024, the legitimate father of the minor appeared before this Public Ministry with the complaint against the defendant today, 33 years old, for having sexually abused the infant.
He told his grandmother during a visit
The complainant explains that the little girl She arrived at her paternal grandmother’s house to spend the weekend with them, a moment that the minor took advantage of to tell her grandmother what her stepfather did to her at times when her mother went out and left her alone with her romantic partner.
To corroborate the veracity of the complainthe Public Ministry performed a forensic gynecological analysis on the victim and evidence psychological tests, consisting of investigations of testimonies using a Gesell camera, the results of which verified the veracity of the complaint.
During the judgmenthe Public Ministryrepresented by the fiscal litigant Ana Basora, showed the court the evidence for the conviction of the defendant, accused of violating articles 332-1 of the Dominican Penal Code, which punishes incest; as well as articles 12, 13, 14,15 and 396 of law 136-03 on the protection of girls, boys and adolescents.
The judgment must be fulfilled at the Najayo Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR), in San Cristóbal.
