Luis Alberto Rguera Olazar (39), Ramón Angel Rotela Caballero (39) and Julio Gustavo Enciso González (30) were arrested for “kidnapping” a Pug dog, for which they demanded their owners pay 400,000 guaranies to be returned.
“The owner of the pet denounced that she received a call in which they asked her for said sum of money to be delivered. The man who made the call asked one of the lady’s sons to bring the money and accompany them, so that at some point they would give him the animal, in exchange for the money.ro”, explained Commissioner Carlos Acosta, from the second Fernando de la Mora police station.
He added that they advised the woman to reject that condition. and she did so. Given this, the “kidnappers” of the dog agreed that he would bring Valentina closer to the owner’s house. After the delivery and collection of the “merchandise” the three men who were traveling in a 0 km vehicle of the Chevrolet Onix brand, were intercepted and detained by the police.
The criminals were made available to the Public Ministry. Prosecutor Rolando Rivas took the case and opened a file on it.
In the police field, they indicated that the detainees would be part of a network of criminals who are dedicated to stealing pets and who, on social networks, “fish” for the requests made by the owners, to contact them, and ask for sums of money to return.
