Jhoan Santiago Pirela Segovia, known as “El Mocho”, was shot dead outside a mechanical workshop, located on the main avenue of the Concession 7 sector of the Rafael Urdaneta parish, in the Baralt municipality, on the Eastern Coast of the Lake, Zulia state.
Pirela Segovia, 44, was approached by some armed individuals who were passing through the sector, two minutes from the area’s checkpoint, and they began to shoot him several times, on Saturday night, without saying a word. They then fled the scene. Police sources reported that the man died instantly, on the pavement.
A commission from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigations Corps arrived at the scene, lifted the body and transferred it to the morgue of the Luis Razetti Hospital in the same town. In addition, he collected various physical evidence to clarify the crime.
Due to the way in which the incident was carried out, the motive of alleged revenge is being handled, under the modality of hitmen.
