Arelis Méndez Álvarez, 36 years old, was murdered by her partner Yorman Esau Núñez (36), who was already captured by the Cicpc.
The femicide occurred early Thursday morning in the house that both shared located in the San José neighborhood, Calabozo, Guárico.
The subject argued with Arelis out of jealousy, according to initial investigations. In the midst of blabbering, the man hit her wife with a hammer and then wounded her with a knife in various parts of her body.
A four-year-old son of Arelis witnessed that scene. Neighbors took the woman to the “Doctor Francisco Urdaneta Delgado” Calabozo hospital, where she died.
Once the fact was known, Yorman was captured by Cicpc agents who seized the knife and hammer used in the murder of the woman, the informant explained.
