A man injured his sentimental partner with an ax on Thursday night, moments in which they were having an argument, in an event that occurred in the Otra Banda sector of the El Valle municipality, province Hato Mayor.
The woman was identified by the authorities as Carolina Solís, 33, who, according to the medical examiner, has fragmented trauma to the right hand with frontal tendon involvement.
According to National PoliceSolís indicated in his statements that the event occurred when he was having an argument with his partner Joel Soriano, who grabbed an ax and threw it at his neck, which made him put his hand in to prevent him from taking his head.
The woman was taken to the Antonio Musa Regional Hospital in San Pedro de Macorís.
The police report indicates that he immediately committed the act Soriano fled, so the authorities continue their search.
