Man arrested with more than 40 kilos of drugs in Táchira

The stash was hidden in a “cave”, camouflaged in a double bottom of the cabin of a pickup truck in which he was traveling, towards Sucre

The members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces in the state of Táchira dealt another blow, capturing a subject who was traveling with a large shipment of drugs to the state of Sucre.

The individual identified as LA Barrios was caught red-handed with more than 40 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride.

The stash was hidden in a “cave”, camouflaged in a false bottom of the cabin of a pickup truck in which he was traveling, towards the state of Sucre, his final destination.

The military personnel, belonging to the ZODI No. 21 Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone, counted a total of 41 packages of the aforementioned drug. One of the characteristics observed is the identification of the cartel to which it belonged.

The drug weighed 43 kilos 550 grams. The procedure took place in the El Peronilo sector, Colón Parish, Ayacucho municipality.

It was learned that the micro-trafficker came from Colombian territory. The procedure was notified to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
