The Bolivarian National Guard arrested nine members of criminal organizations from whom they seized war materialincluding an Israel Military Industries brand submachine gun, according to military sources.
Precisely the aforementioned weapon was seized in the La Picadora sector, Andrés Bello municipality (Santa Isabel), Trujillo, where they arrested Héctor Alberto Padilla Acosta (Hectico), a member of the criminal organization founded by Darwin Antonio Rivas García (El Cagón). , dedicated to extortion and homicides, according to investigations.
They seized Hectico’s Uzi 9 mm submachine gun with two magazines, 38 cartridges, belongings (clothing, sheets, various medicines), a radio transmitter charger and a Bera motorcycle, license plate AN7B37A.
The man was handed over to the prosecution where he is prosecuted for organized crime and terrorism, the source explained.
Two other proceedings against the organization known as El Cagón were carried out by the military, one of them in the Concesión Siete sector, Baralt municipality (San Timoteo), Zulia state, where they seized twenty-six cartridges for 7.62×39 mm caliber rifles.
In addition, they seized a radio transmitter and medical supplies and various clothes. In this procedure, they arrested Frayderson Josué Segovia Rodríguez (El Torombolo), according to a report from the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command No. 23. And in Valera (Trujillo), El Adagro sector, the military collected fifty-two cartridges for 7.62× caliber rifles. 39 mm, medical supplies, two radio transmitters with their two chargers and three telephone equipment, says the report.
All the material was in the possession of four members of El Cagón: Daniel Juárez Ávila, Jairo Enrique Ávila Blanco, Yine del Valle Peña Ruiz and Cándida Ayarith Rangel.
