Man arrested on charges of infanticide of his three-year-old son

The Prosecutor’s Office and the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc) arrested a man accused of killing his three-year-old son with blows this Monday in the 26 de Septiembre neighborhood, in the Pampa de la Isla neighborhood.

The Santa Cruz departmental prosecutor, Róger Mariaca, reported that the detainee was identified as Richard SV, who was transferred to police cells to give his informative statement to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. for the alleged crime of infanticide.

Mariaca indicated that it was established that the cause of death of the three-year-old boy was caused by strong blows received in various parts of the body, according to the forensic examination carried out at the morgue of the municipal hospital in Pampa de la Isla.

“Once the fact was known, the Multidisciplinary Team of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Crimes Against Life was mobilized and proceeded to collect different pieces of evidence such as witness statements, statements from emergency personnel who became aware of the fact, and the Forensic Research Institute (IDIF) performed the autopsy which determined the cause of death to be hypovolemic shock. “Closed chest trauma and multiple trauma” the prosecutor said.

For her part, the prosecutor specializing in crimes against life, Rose María Barrientos, reported that, according to the investigations, the child fell out of a hammock this morning and it is presumed that the father then hit him.

In the afternoon, the minor became ill due to the blows he suffered and His father took him to a medical center from the capital of Santa Cruz, but arrived without vital signs.
