Manela Sáenz, who is Pro Tempore secretary of Allies for Children and Adolescents, referred this Friday to the signing of the Executive Decree that regulates Law 171 of 2020 on Comprehensive Protection of Early Childhood, stating that this is the instrumentalization of said law, however, is a challenge for many, since they must begin to see and recognize that children are subjects of rights.

“We must make these paradigm changes and also understand that children are the responsibility of all of us. We are a team that is going to work in an interdisciplinary manner, and we must all be part of this law, we are part of the human development of Panama,” he said. .

He indicated that if this human development is not strengthened, it will be very difficult to strengthen economic development or achieve any other progress or indicator.

Saénz explained that Panama still has a lot to do in terms of awareness, early stimulation, in order to identify the neurodevelopmental needs of children in time.
