A 41-year-old woman was rescued by the Maldonado Police Headquarters after falling into the Solís stream in her car.
According to the Maldonado Police Headquarters, the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at kilometer 81 of Route 9.
The rescue was carried out by members of the 5th Section. The report stated that the woman ended up in the water after losing control of her car while she was driving.
Agents moved to the site after receiving an alert. Upon arrival, they jumped into the waters to help the victim, who was trapped inside. Staff from the 8th Section of Canelones and Firefighters also worked at the site.
Officials from a medical emergency who rushed to the site provided him with primary care. Later, the woman was taken to the Pan de Azúcar hospital with no signs of beatings or injuries. However, the rescued woman presented a diagnosis of stable hypothermia.
