The Santeño pilot Carlos Muñoz was selected as the Manager of the Year of the 2023 Major Baseball National Championship, Panama City Hall Cup, in honor of Benjamin Wood.
Muñoz led his team to first place in the standings of the Regular Series of the 80 National Major Baseball Championship and has been a leader of his team throughout the championship.
“El Trompito” Muñoz received 8 out of 17 possible votes, Hipolito Ortíz from Colón had 6, Ernesto Fosaty from Chiriquí received 1, Ángel Chávez from the West had 1 and Carlos Louis from Coclé one vote.
For the selection of the Manager of the Year, the members of the Board of Directors of the Panamanian Baseball Federation and the technical coordinators of stadiums in the Major Tournament were able to cast their votes.
