Before signing addendum 13 of the project Majes Siguas II supervision must be activated and for this the debt of approximately 433 thousand dollars will have to be paid to the Majes Siguas II Specialized Supervisor company.
“Last Friday it had to be signed, but the disbursement was expected. They wanted to terminate the contract and the best alternative was seen for them to continue supervising”Gov. Kimmerlee Gutierrez said.
The executive manager of the Majes Autonomous Authority (Autodema), Arturo Arroyo, reported that the 433 thousand dollars are for the debt that the supervisor was held by addendum 2.
He explained that this debt is outside of the original Majes contractbecause I know agreed an additional service for the supervision of the elaboration of addendum 13 when Majes was paralyzedeither.

Supervisor However, this procedure would take a few weeks, until the Banco de la Nación approves the trust presented.
Specialized Majes Siguas II warned with terminate the contract if the debt was not paid, therefore, it was decided to cancel the debt to activate the supervision of the agro-export project.
Regarding the payments for the original contract for the supervision of Majes II in the amount of 11 million dollars, Arroyo stated that it has not yet been discussed with the supervisor and will be done after activating the supervision.
It should be remembered that the Comptroller’s Office warned that the payment had been exceeded, because 90% had been paid to the supervisor, even though it didn’t match.
