Mairuth Cárdenas Sánchez was shot in the stomach at a fast food stand in the municipality of San Pedro, Sucre.
The young woman was pregnant and both she and the baby on the way died from the projectile wound.

The events occurred on November 27 at about 2:15 in the morning, when Mairuth started a heated argument with a client of the establishment located in the “pink zone” of the town.
According to information from The Universal of Cartagenathe murder would have been committed because the woman would have made fun of the stranger when he asked for “an extra large dog.”
“I would have longed for the man,” says the report in the previously mentioned medium.
The discussion would have risen in tone and Mairuth allegedly slapped the subject. This one, he drew a firearm and shot the young pregnant woman.
Badly injured, the young woman was lying on the ground while the ambulance arrived. Finally the medical mission arrived and the paramedics took Mairuth to a care center where she died.
After activating the firearm, the man would have fled in an unknown direction.
His whereabouts are still unknown about the murderer and at this time the authorities continue in their search to identify him.
Mairuth was a Venezuelan national, she was 27 years old and leaves two children.
