On Friday, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) the tax incentive for the Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS) for fuels from October 22 to 28.
In it you can read that the fiscal stimulus for Magna gasoline will receive 100% support, by staying at 5.4917 pesos per liter, with which consumers will pay zero pesos of IEPS for each liter of fuel.
Thus, there are 88 weeks in which the government has granted stimuli to try to control the increase in the price, after international gasoline prices increased since the first months of last year.
Higher octane fuel (Premium) will also receive a tax incentive of 100%, the equivalent of 4.6375 pesos per liter, users will pay 0 pesos of tax per liter, accumulating 81 weeks with subsidy.
Diesel, for its part, accumulates 86 consecutive weeks with support from the government, maintaining this week a 100% discount, the equivalent of 6.0354 pesos per liter.
The government has had to resort to fiscal stimulus to contain the increase in international fuel prices due to restrictions on the supply of crude oil.
