The Magisterial Force Current last Saturday he held a national assemblyin which 157 of 174 coordinators participated, equivalent to more than 90%, coming from some 25 provinces in the country.
The assembly was held in the event room of the headquarters of the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP) with the purpose of approving the statutes that will govern the organic life of that union structure of the Power of the People.
- “The extensive assistance of teaching coordinators coming” from the different provinces of the country “evidenced the high level of organization and mobilization of the Magisterial Strength“, as reported in a press release.
Among the coordinators who attended the assembly to approve the statutes, important leaders of the association stood out. Power of the Peopleamong them four councilorsmore than 20 members of the Central Managementas well as several municipal and municipal district presidents.
The assembly was coordinated by the presidents of the ADP in the sections of The Plain, Elias PiñaDaniel Ospino Valdez, and Hato Mayor, Darling Peguero, both with four three-year terms at the head of the union of the teachers.
In addition to the union veterans, the commission was made up of the Secretary of Organization of the Magisterial Strength and the Secretary of Education, the deputy secretaries and members of the Central Management, Norman Paredes and Fausto Estevezrespectively, who took turns reading the statutes.
Each article was submitted to the assembly for its consideration individually, receiving unanimous approval 95% and majority in the rest.
With the approval of these statutes, which consist of 50 items plus three transients, the teachers organized under the line of thought of the Power of the People take an important step in their institutional consolidation, at the conclusion of the internal congress of the FP and give way to the continuity of the organic work territorial.
electoral commission
One of the most relevant aspects was the transitional article which establishes the choice of a Electoral Commissionresponsible for presenting an electoral regulation and a schedule that allows the teachers democratically choose its leadership.
After the approval of the statutes, the assembly members made various proposals to integrate said commission, being formed in a collegiate manner by the teachers Faustino Cedenoprovincial coordinator of the Magisterial Strength in La Altagracia, and Raúl Alandre Pulapresident of the ADP in Ramón Santana.
