“These two towns in the department of Bolívar surprised this 2025 with their Christmas lighting, which has marked tourism at this time. Visitors will be able to enjoy the emblematic lighting until mid-January, making them unmissable destinations in the Colombian Caribbean, thanks to its innovation, tradition and technology”, stated Armando Gutiérrez, president of the National Association of Public Lighting and Smart Cities of Colombia (Anap).

Christmas decoration stands out for el use of latest generation LED lights, more efficient and sustainable, as well as modern designs and a visual narrative that highlights the identity, history and traditions of each territory.

Among the main novelties are thematic decorations, monumental figures that transform parks, squares and main avenues, and interactive sets designed for the family experience and photographic tourism. All of this integrated into a smart city concept that combines Christmas tradition and technological development.

These initiatives not only beautify public space, but also boost the local economy, boost commerce, generate temporary employment and strengthen regional tourism, becoming a growth opportunity for entrepreneurs and merchants.

In San Juan de Nepomuceno, visitors can explore the central parks and illuminated corridors, ideal for night walks, in addition to learning about its cultural wealth, religious traditions and quiet atmosphere, characteristics that position it as a family and welcoming destination.

For its part, Magangué offers tours along the Magdalena River boardwalk, a varied gastronomic offer, its renowned port and commercial life—one of the most important in the south of Bolívar—as well as cultural and musical events typical of the Christmas season.

“The mayors of Magangué and San Juan de Nepomuceno, together with ANAP, extend a cordial invitation to all tourists to experience a different end of the year, full of light, color, innovation and tradition, at the same time supporting the development of the territories. This Christmas, Bolívar shines brighter than ever,” concluded Gutiérrez.
