On the night of this Wednesday, December 21, the ruler Nicolás Maduro published his Christmas 2022 message; in which he exalted the natural beauties of the country and recalled the independence deed
The first president Nicolás Maduro published his Christmas 2022 message for Venezuelans on Wednesday night, December 21, in which he invited Venezuela to “take care and continue to make it great”.
The video, just over eight minutes long, takes a walk through different places and parks in the country, from the mountains of Mérida to the dunes of Coro; a tour that reminded us of the Christmas spots made by the RCTV channel –especially the one about year 1994–, a television plant to which the late former president Hugo Chávez did not renew the concession in 2007.

Rocker Paul Gilman; the president of TVes, Winston Vallenilla; the members of the musical group Un solo pueblo and Oscarcito are some of the artists who participate in the production.

Accompanied by his wife, Cilia Flores de Maduro –who calls herself the first combatant, instead of the first lady–, children, artists and athletes; among others, the president exalted the natural beauties of the country and recalled the independence deed.
Hours earlier, prior to the release of the video, Maduro posted the following message on his Twitter account: “Christmas reaches our hearts with its magic, love, hope, and prosperity. May this day be to celebrate the joy of sharing with our loved ones”.

Last August, the government decided advance the date of the start of the Christmas holidays for October 1. At that time, Maduro assured that they would be dates for “rumba” and “trade” and ratified that the December festivities would begin by decree.

“Get ready, since the Christmas holidays in Venezuela start on October 1 and all this activity of sharing, solidarity, partying, commerce, gifts begins,” he said.
But after the vertiginous increase of the dollar since the arrival of the last months of the year – on December 14, in just 24 hours the currency increased its price at 12.7%– Many Venezuelans, public employees, retirees and pensioners find it difficult to buy and “party”.
Yulimar visits President Maduro
Prior to the publication of the Christmas message, the president received the athlete and triple jump champion, Yulimar Rojas, at the Miraflores Palace.
