“Criminal gangs that arm themselves and organize themselves to attack the people, rob them and create criminal problems, have to be fought fiercely, until it ends,” said the president of the republic, Nicolás Maduro during the commemoration of the Crime Investigator Day and the 65th anniversary of the Investigation of the Crime in Venezuela from the Theater of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army, located in Fuerte Tiuna.
The president commented on the action carried out by the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (CICPC) in Barcelona with the El Zorrillo gang, “where an exemplary intervention was carried out to put an end to that criminal gang,” he said.
He also mentioned the action carried out by this police force against the El Conejo Gang, which attacked Las Tejerías during the Caribbean Series, coordinated with Colombian criminal gangs. “All those Colombian criminal gangs then sent by Iván Duque as part of the conspiracy against Venezuela, are articulated and financed from Colombia and order to attack the population.”
“We verified that when we entered Cota 905,” he commented, “those criminal gangs were acting in alliance with the gangs financed by Iván Duque at the time,” he insisted, “like what happened in Maracaibo, who attacked the town but they are already identified and are to be captured,” he said.
“You have to go after the criminal gangs, because Venezuela deserves peace and tranquility,” said the president.
“We have to have a country free of criminal gangs, free of violence, free of criminal gangs, and we have to build a country of stability, security, harmony, and social peace, where any Venezuelan can circulate anywhere in the territory”
In figures
Maduro explained that in five months 3,989 people have been detained, while 9,246 files have been sent to the Public Ministry (MP) and 21,955 expert reports have been carried out.
Through the deployment of CICPC officials, 296 seized firearms, 914 recovered ammunition and 1,119 recovered vehicles were also recorded. In relation to this last data, the Head of State ordered to guarantee the return of the car to its rightful owner.
“It is necessary to guarantee that the vehicle recovered from the crime is returned to its owner (…) Do you know what hurts? That they steal your car or your motorcycle, then they get it for you and never return it; Or you are going to see them and everything is missing, that cannot be, well, correct it, Minister (Remigio) Ceballos, correct that aspect and, when we say this figure, it is for happiness, ”he emphasized.
Likewise, the Venezuelan president pointed out that 22 tons of strategic material (rebar, beams, cement) have been recovered. On the other hand, criminal proceedings amount to 86,393.
