The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stood out during the act of Activation of communal militias units that Venezuela does not have a warrior military doctrine and that “we have not attacked or will ever do any people in our America.”
However, he said that all the people must join to defend the country, as expected by the Bolivarian Constitution and doctrine.
He said that the doctrine of the Bolivarian militia is based on a powerful moral and ethics, with the aim of guaranteeing peace, national union and independence.
“We have not attacked or ever assault any people on the planet and less from our region,” said the president, differentiating the spirit of the Venezuelan military force from that of imperialist armies.
Referred to the statement of the CELAC For the support given to Venezuela and in which 21 member countries urged “to promote a safe environment” and reiterated “their firm commitment to the defense of peace, stability and democracy.”
President Maduro said that the pronouncement of the CELAC is “forceful”, underlining the importance of this regional support against tensions in the area.
He stressed that Venezuela is an indomitable town that no one will come to colonize and that this first step in the activation of the militia is transcendental.
«One step for all Venezuela, to join, articulate, in the defense of the right to peace, in the defense of the independence of Venezuela, in the defense of the territorial integrity of wealth. In short, in the defense of the right of our families to live in community, to develop, to live in peace and build their prosperity. That is what we are defending! He affirmed.
However, he warned that if Venezuela were attacked in some way, “we would go to an armed staging in defense of peace, our sovereignty and our people,” he emphasized.
Maduro emphasized that the country has a “spiritual” power that emanates from the unity of the people in a common and sacred cause. “This sacred land, those seas belong to us because we win them,” said the president. His words stressed that, after historically belonging to European empires, the seas of Venezuelan jurisdiction are now legitimate property of the people of Venezuela.
Likewise, the president launched a direct warning to foreign powers, affirming that “the Mares del Caribe, Venezuelan jurisdiction, belong to the people of Venezuela and not to the gringo empire, or to any raptor and criminal empire that may exist.” With these statements, the President underlines the government’s position in the defense of the sovereignty and natural resources of the country against any external threat.
In this context, Maduro described the activation of militia communal units as a “transcendental step.” This step aims to articulate the entire population in the defense of the right to peace, independence, territorial integrity and natural wealth. The president stressed that the defense of the Venezuelan family and their right to live in peace and prosperity is the main motivation behind these actions.
On the other hand, he referred to the “marches of the combatant people” carried out this Friday, within the framework of the activation of the units of the communal militias, and described the same as “impressive.”
Finally, the president called on the unit, citing the leader Vietnamese Ho Chi Minh: “Uniting everyone who can be united against the main enemy, that is the order.”
With this phrase, President Maduro reaffirmed the importance of social cohesion and popular organization as a fundamental strategy for the protection of national interests and the construction of a prosperous future for the country.
