The president of the republic, Nicolás Maduro, said that the government of Trinidad and Tobago was alerted about the planning of a false flag operation, in which CIA agents in collaboration with Port of Spain would justify an armed attack against Venezuela.
He commented that the “self-attack plan that the CIA was going to carry out on one of its ships that are near Trinidad and Tobago” was intended to force “a battleship Maine-style provocation to get into the war with Spain and take control of Cuba.”
The president also compared the action discovered by Venezuelan intelligence to the provocation in the Gulf of Tonkin, where the United States carried out a self-attack in the 1960s, “to justify an eternal war that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives of American blacks, Latinos and poor whites.”
He said that they alerted the Trinidad and Tobago authorities because the US authorities are involved in the conspiracy and it is not worth alerting them. He commented that when they were alerted about an attempt to plant explosives at the headquarters of the Washington embassy in Caracas, “they protected their terrorists there in Miami and their accomplices here.”
Three terrorist operations dismantled
The president took advantage of the occasion to denounce that the Bolivarian Government has discovered and dismantled 3 terrorist operations, promoted by the CIA in the country:
1. Attack in Plaza Venezuela: “The first operation, which sought to blow up the Plaza de la Victoria against the fascism of the Soviet Union, there in Plaza Venezuela.”
2. Attack on the Former US Embassy: «The second, sought to place an explosive to attack the installation of the United States embassy in Venezuela. “We dismantled it.”
3. The Self-Attack Plan: The third is the recently dismantled self-attack plan, devised by the CIA, against US military ships, near Trinidad and Tobago: “The CIA behind the dirty work it has always done.”
He added that between Saturday and Sunday a set of captures of people related to CIA operations against our country, who have revealed the information that led to the unveiling of the false flag operation.
Finally, he said that the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Kamla Persad-Bissessar is a pimp of imperialism, for which he congratulated the people of the eastern states of the country, who protested against her this weekend.
