The Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, ordered new activities to the ratified military authorities and to the positions named this Monday at the head of the FANB.
“We have a united, robust Armed Forces and above all with a clear vision of what the defense of the homeland is. (…) As Commander in Chief that I am, I showed them the direction; I insisted, first of all, to walk alongside the soldiers to strengthen and improve the military well-being of the troops and officers, affected as you know by criminal sanctions,” requested the President of the Republic during broadcast No. 61 of his program Con Maduro +.
Maduro also ordered the FANB to perfect the doctrinal, ideological and military technical training system; In addition, advance in the adaptation of the defense system in the country; as well as deepening the civic, military and police fusion as one of the priorities on which this renewal of the military forces should focus.
“Venezuela has a military power that defends it, it has a patriotic, revolutionary, Bolivarian and increasingly Chavista military power with deep popular, anti-oligarchic, anti-family and anti-colonialist roots,” he asserted.
Likewise, Maduro celebrated the new appointments of the Superior General Staff of the FANB which he made earlier this Monday:
- He ratified GJ Vladimir Padrino López as Minister of Popular Power for Defense, and G/J Domingo Antonio Hernández Larez as head of the Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb).
- He appointed M/G Johan Alexander Hernández Larez to the General Command of the Bolivarian Army.
- Admiral Ashraf Andel Hadi Suleimán Gutiérrez was appointed to the Bolivarian Navy Command.
- In command of the Bolivarian Military Aviation, M/G Lenín Lorenzo Ramírez Villasmil.
- Likewise, in the General Command of the Bolivarian National Guard, the M/G is ratified. Elío Ramón Estrada Paredes.
- And in command of the Bolivarian Militia, M/G Orlando Ramón Romero Bolívar.
- At the head of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM) and the Presidential Honor Guard (GHP), M/G Javier Marcano Tábata, replacing M/G Iván Hernández Dala
- And at the head of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN), M/G Alexis Rodríguez Cabello was appointed, replacing G/J Gustavo Enrique González López.
